Oh man. I really went over a month without any updates? Things have been busy lately, and I kept spending idle time in front of the TV instead of the computer. Summer’s here, hopefully I’ll save up some money, and also keep this thing alive!!
Things I’ve done without previous mention:

made my Finnish “”“contact”“” reship the Hakkapeliitta album from FINRG’s store to me because their international shipping fees were ridiculous
got an iPod from my parents, which has been in use every day since
max’d the game purchase cap (new: OutRun Online Arcade, Burnout Paradise, Banjo-Tooie), what happens next I do not know. hopefully I’ll let things stay this way. actually until just now I thought I’d broken it
bought a DSLR camera from one of the largest electronics chains in Norway, which I have yet to receive more than a month after the date of purchase
had the goddamned Wii GPU overheat, gotta replace it
got a replacement for the phone that died last year, but it sucks so much i used it for a few days only before abandoning the piece of shit
ate yakiniku again (uho-)
imported the new Proteus album from Australia
watched almost five whole seasons of Stargate SG-1
beat the SNES games Aladdin and The Lion King, both for the first time, in one single gaming session
moved to a new (and larger) apartment
passed my Japanese class
??? (probably more shit I’ve forgotten)

Sorry for the boring wall of text, it’s been so long. Did anyone miss my updates? At least… I did!

Resident Evil 5 inevietably became purchase number three of 2009. The release party was alright. Not spectacular, but worth attending to. Not sure if it’s possible to see clearly in this shitty picture, but there are two t-shirts I got (ugly and large sizes) and a card-like USB flash drive. The USB crap I might use. Too bad the game isn’t scary AT ALL.
Already halfway through the 2009 game purchase cap, but whatever. There are no more good games, and marketing faggots aren’t gonna trick me again.

Meet purchase number two. I discovered by accident that the local store was selling Dancing Stage Universe REALLY cheap, so I just had to pick it up on the spot, even though it’s not really what I wanna play anymore. At least my gal should be happy with it. This was actually almost a month ago, I’ve been slow with the updates.

my first game purchase of 2009, banjo-kazooie: nutz & ballz. it was nice price’d and then put on 20% sale, AND i had a gift card after christmas, so it ended up without me paying much. maximum five more to go this year.
the demo sucked, but it got pretty good ratings, and i’m a sucker for banjo and rare anyway.

Looking at my backlog, I’m once again thinking “why the fuck do you spend so much money on games you idiot”. 2008 has been the worst year (link not up to date right now), because I had lots of money on my hands. Sure, games are cool, but at some point, like when you’ve gotten nearly 80 new games in a year, AND two new consoles, AND a new handheld, it’s too much. Way too fucking much. The worst part is, I’ve beaten less than ten of those. Half of them are probably not played even once.
Just a few days ago, I was 99% ready to buy a PS3. Now I say fuck off you faggot. So… I’m planning to make a New Year’s resolution which is a game purchase cap of six titles. That’s one every two months.
I’ll save my money for household costs, a new TV, maybe taking my gal some cool places, going to Vietnam the coming summer, and finally being able to fund plane tickets so my gal can come visit me on the other side of the world during my study’s obligatory exchange program next fall. Seems like a solid plan to me.
