Recently did my very first digital music purchases, after figuring out how to use the iTunes gift card I got for Christmas. There’s a decent amount of FINRG releases up there, my first snatch was DJ Rx’s remix of the ThermalForce classic Eternalcannon. While I prefer the original, Rx has added lots of breaks and the overall feel is really cool. Alek Száhala (Dryad Machine!!!), Epyx & Cyrez and other Rx tracks were of course also on my list of stuff to get.
Guess lately I’ve been all about FINRG artists, especially Pain on Creation (although their mastering seems to be really off). Carbon Based produced some awesome shit as well. Then there’s the rest of the Hybridize crew to dig through. Good things there’s so much music to play even though the genre is really narrow!
Gonna do a June “top five tracks” type of post at the end of the month, and the number one spot is clear as the sky is blue!! …which it isn’t right now, but the point stands either way.
