My own little tree, straight from IKEA. It’s the tiny Deku tree! Just wait, one day it’ll grow huuuuge.

Clothes are expensive as fuck. Not so much in China. I’ve been doing 90% of electronics and games related purchases from HK for years, why not do my clothes shopping there as well?
With the help of a middleman service, I’ve placed orders on thirteen different items on major Chinese auction sites not too different from eBay. My main problem is that I know no Chinese at all, the only character I’ve deciphered so far is 高 which means high - and so I know basically nothing about what to search for. But it’s not like a small problem like that’d stop me!
Just look at the cool Mickey Mouse beanie above, oh man!! Accidently stumbling upon that made me search for Goofy, after which I found some awesome Adidas Goofy shoes (maybe my favorite among all the ordered items). Thank you China. Expect even more awesome pics to come from this later on when the package arrives. ;)
After yesterday’s despair, my new IIDX controller arrived. Then my gal said “you may use the small TV”. Hells fucking yeah. I’m back in action, now with a double deck! Gotta spin ‘em all.
HDTV GET! 40” 1080p is a huge upgrade over the old 4:3 CRT of unknown dimensions. Kinda shitty comparison pics, but still. The improvement is clear as the sky is blue! IIDX plays like shit on it though, so that was kinda sad. :/
:’O
Bought this HUMöR zip hoodie last week. Upon seeing it hanging there in the store I had to drop the money, even though the price tag tried its best to scare me off (799 NOK, roughly $125 USD). Love it. HUMöR defines themselves as “heavily influenced by the metropolitan underground music”, which matches my state of mind well. Great Scandinavian design right here, gentlemen.
Both my girlfriend and family commented that it’s really weird I bought something as expensive as this, and not on sale. It’s true though. Can’t remember the last time I bought clothing at full price. All of this has made me more self-concious, but it’s alright. Maybe I’ll become cool instead of looking like a bum.
Resident Evil 5 inevietably became purchase number three of 2009. The release party was alright. Not spectacular, but worth attending to. Not sure if it’s possible to see clearly in this shitty picture, but there are two t-shirts I got (ugly and large sizes) and a card-like USB flash drive. The USB crap I might use. Too bad the game isn’t scary AT ALL.
Already halfway through the 2009 game purchase cap, but whatever. There are no more good games, and marketing faggots aren’t gonna trick me again.
Meet purchase number two. I discovered by accident that the local store was selling Dancing Stage Universe REALLY cheap, so I just had to pick it up on the spot, even though it’s not really what I wanna play anymore. At least my gal should be happy with it. This was actually almost a month ago, I’ve been slow with the updates.

Jon is a madman. Seems like garfield minus garfield got published in paperback, which is cool, but I still prefer “garfield minus garfield thought bubbles”.
What a fucking surprise! They’re holding a Resident Evil 5 release party here in Oslo at Betong on the 12th. Doors open at 20:00 and it goes on until midnight, seems like admission is free too. It’s like ten minutes away from my apartment. Gullstikka is also coming up in a couple of days, but I refuse to pay 400 NOK (~$60) to sit through some retarded award show, the RE5 event is a lot more interesting!!
Gamereactor is having a competition on their site now where you can win a limited edition copy of the game, along with VIP tickets to the release party. I don’t know what’s special about being a VIP over there, but getting the LE for free would be nice. Winners are drawn on the 9th, I’ll cross my fingers.
